Friday catch-up (or catch-all).

If I want to experience relaxation of any sort this weekend, I better "dig in" and get to work.  {Though I just may work a little harder with a pair of red Wellies on.}

*Doesn't mean I won't check in here and there to do a little blog readin'.  Or to print out the latest and greatest recipes... Roasted Vegetable Enchiladas and Mexichocolatetofu Pudding!  And I know today's recipe will be a good one.  Jora never disappoints when it comes to food.

How about you?  Work - or play - this weekend??

  6. I'll probably be doing a little of both. I currently still think of cooking as "work" so I hope to take a day off of that. I do have to say, though, that all your food writing is making me want to elevate what I put on the table every day. Wait, I don't mean put it on a pedestal. I mean I'm upping the ante on my cooking. This week I made "chiles rellenos" (stuffed chilis), a Mexican dish that is really quite time consuming so I hadn't made it for more than five years since I was pregnant with my first child! Finally, I just told myself, "Enough is enough already. Go make one of your favorite dishes and don't look at the clock!"

  7. For the past several weekends its been work (we recently moved into a new house). But it's one of my best friends' birthday's this weekend, so its definitely "play" this weekend!! Yay!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  8. ha ha just made enchiladas last night with sweet potato, black beans, corn and spinach. I will check out this recipe too. Enjoy the weekend...we are definitely relaxing as I am getting over a bit of a cold. (probably from too much partying last weekend)

  10. Minnie-

    That is fantastic. Seriously, I have very few clocks in my home because I don't want to be consumed or overly constrained by time! (Yes, I am not always the first to show up... but I'm not the first to rush out the door either:).

    I would love your recipe for chili rellenos... maybe a future post? :)
