Let's get this show on the road.

I've been in a sort of talk-less-do-more state of mind as of late.  Vacations- time away from the daily routine- from the internet- shake me up a bit.  My arrival home is always accompanied with a sense of being centered- back on track, and at the same time, a little unsteady- off-kilter.  Off-kilter in a good way... in areas that needed a little rattling.

So easy to get buried under pins, tweets, likes, bookmarks, clippings of promises and plans... to make that recipe, to read that book, to organize that pantry, to host that party, to drink that martini...  I can't do it all, and I won't even try.  But as Walt Disney said, The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.  Empty promises begone!!

  4. Oh, this is a fabulous post! I'm right there with you. Got up early today to finish a work project that I normally would have procrastinated. Now I get t visit a few of my favorite blogs because my work is done! Yippie, less talking more doing.

But how about we all agree to drink that martini? That wouldn't take much talking would it? Hee, hee. Have a fabulous weekend. And I highly recommend planting pumpkin seeds next spring. It was super easy and the kids loved it. With your beautiful bed you'd probably have your own patch!

  6. I'm like that too. I do find it all so overwhelming. My school motto was Incipe - begin - and so I going to just do one thing first....(make a cup of tea)
