The rest was sort of a blur.
Too many tears. Too many "come to jesus" talks. Too many to-do's. And too freakin' HOT. (I realize I just said that it wasn't "so bad after all." Well, it got hotter. And it is "so bad after all.")
After a weekend I'd pretty much chalk up as chaotic, I'm really hoping this little gem of wisdom rings true in the coming week.
Scratch that. I'm willing this to come true in the coming week.
First up: a coffee date with a friend from high school this morning. Not just any friend. A friend that I haven't seen in 18 years! Not to place too much into a coffee date or anything, but I've got a feeling this is JUST what I need to get out of this bubble I've "found" myself in as of late... to work my way into a new direction- a slightly (all I ask) less chaotic direction. Yes, change is in the air. I can feel it.
Remember that post from ages ago that we both love....it's not just a new day, each hour is a new hour. Each moment is a chance to take a deep breath and start agin. Xoxo
ReplyDeleteahhh, yes- the 'pretty mommy' post that we both loved, that resonated with each of us. thank you for reminding me of this post! i just reread it... a perfect way to begin my day. :)
DeleteYes, indeed :).
ReplyDeleteI scream, you scream, we all scream for PEACE! Yes that is what I need. Chaos no- peace yes or rather just quiet:) a 3 yr old and a 10 month does not equal quiet but that is what I need right now. Here is to your new direction and new change and my quiet! lOl!
ReplyDeleteAaahh… I love you!!
DeleteYes. Here’s to a bit (at the very least) of PEACE.
certainly hope the coffee date was a game changer in the peace vs. chaotic shuffle board we so often call life.
ReplyDeleteIt really was. It was so nice to connect with a kindred spirit~ a moment of peace to get the week started (and back) on the right track.
DeleteAnd then to jump right into full-force family mode yesterday and today…
Now playing a little online catch-up.
Balance. Right? :)
xoxo
I hope things have calmed down for you! We've been dealing with a wee bit of chaos too.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine miss “working mama of 2 littles”!! (one being *especially little!)
DeleteWhat’s my excuse??
Oh, scratch that. …A teen AND a tween.
Love that change is in the air. And it's so funny isn't it? It can come during a coffee with an old friend...a way to turn that corner. I am that very lazy Mum who now gives cash as a birthday gift (I know it's kinda crass but I ask the parent first) Kids love it and the gift never gets wasted.
