Coveting {part one}.

last night~ in the midst of rough drafts & dirty dishes, we managed to squeeze in all three.

wednesdays call for a little 'special treatment', in my opinion.

 do not (i repeat:  do not) let this simple, understated image fool you. this meal is just pure [spring] perfection.
{we substituted with gluten-free brown rice bread, and goat cheese. oh my.....}

 we saw this in bon appetit {april} on friday, and decided to to put it to the test.
it passed with high marks. but in remainder of the weekend, it grew even further on us. almost too pretty to drink. almost.

love, love, L O V E this show. every single character. we needed more comedy in our life, especially on a wednesday.

  1. Asparagus and goat cheese is one of my all-time favorite combos. And The Mindy Project? LOVE. With New Girl, they are my favorite sit-coms right now.

  3. O.k. that meal looks like total perfection. I need to put this on my spring must eat list. Thanks for the inspiration, lady. And I've been dying to watch the Mindy Project. She is so talented. As for Girls, it took me about three episodes to get on board and I'm pretty sure my husband would not be into it. But I'm totally hooked. If you start watching it let me know what you think. :)

    P.S. So happy you are back to blogging, friend.

  4. I love anything with asparagus, like beets you feel so good eating them! I have not hooked onto that show yet, am now going to check it out. OK, now am totally going to do that fitted chambray shirt and unusual jewels with it look - you've sold me. Have a fantastic weekend and thank for your birthday wishes!

    1. i knew you’d appreciate that picture! the only one i own is not fitted (grabbed the last one they had at target- XL- but it works… perfectly ‘slouchy’ look :)) but yes- you definitely need to execute this look… i don’t think i ever answered your question btw~ “How do you chambray? Full tuck with skirt and statement necklace, the half tuck or the loosey goosey?” …NOT the half tuck… but love the full tuck with a long skirt, a brown leather (‘aged’) belt- and most often the loosey goosey… love it a little too much in fact- i reach for it way too often these days.

      & you need to start watching mindy! like i told estelle though~ if you do, start from the beginning :).
